Hyundai begin the 2016 WRC campaign with a real sense of purpose. There's a new car and a strong line-up of talented young drivers as Hyundai Motorsport looks to build on a 2015 WRC campaign that saw the team challenging for second place in the Manufacturers' Championship.
That begins at the Rallye Monte Carlo, where the new generation Hyundai i20 WRC makes its debut and the team will be fielding three cars in the race around the Principality for the first time.
Belgians Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul and Spaniards Dani Sordo and Marc Martí will race as Hyundai Shell World Rally Team, while New Zealanders Hayden Paddon and John Kennard – a surprise package in 2015 – will race last year's i20 WRC for the Hyundai Mobis World Rally Team as they make their Monte Carlo debut.
The Kiwis pick up the keys to the third New Generation i20 WRC car at Rally Sweden, which will be their race car for the rest of the season.
