Red Bull Party Wave, the competition challenging creative teams to build their own surf vessel and ride the best wave as a team, will return to the shores of Waikiki Beach on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. The 8th running of Red Bull Party Wave will take place as the opening events of Duke Kahanamoku Ocean Festival, held each year in late August on the shores of iconic Waikiki Beach, where Duke groomed his athletic skills that elevated him into becoming the pioneer of “Waterman,” an Olympic Champion, and the Ambassador of Aloha, celebrates the life and legacy of Duke Paoa Kahanamoku.Competing teams will be decked out in themed costumes, perform a skit on the beach, and then paddle out together to collectively catch some waves. Up to 20 teams will be selected to compete in this one-of-a-kind event!
