Players who impressed
Bea González
The Spanish star had a week to remember with the launch of her Red Bull TV documentary Padel Life, and she didn't let the additional focus faze her on her way to clinching a first victory with new partner Paula Josemaría. The result should go some way to silencing any critics as the duo find their feet as a partnership.
Alejandro Galán
The padel legend didn't allow an early exit in Mexico to weigh on his mind as he and partner Fede Chingotto dispatched the top-seeded pair to get their 2026 campaign on track. The result, his 55th trophy, also puts Galán back on the top step of padel's most decorated active players.
Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger
Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger put on a thrilling display in their semi-final match against Coello - Tapia, starting by far the stronger to win the first set and push the top seeds all the way. Although they could not maintain their first-set levels, their performance meant the tour's top pair had to dig deep to progress.

What does this mean for the Premier Padel season?
Was this a setback for Triay – Brea or just a bump in the road?

In one word: excitement. So far this season we've largely seen a continuation of the established order: top-seeded pairs Triay – Brea and Coello - Tapia have outperformed their nearest rivals. However, with this double P1 tournament victory for both sets of second seeds, things have just got more competitive again.
This is particularly true in the women's competition, where González and Josemaría have struggled to combine their undoubted talents to best effect in the early tournaments. With the difficult teething period now seemingly over, the fight for top spot should heat up from this point onwards.
As for the men's competition, the tit-for-tat exchange of titles between Galán and Tapia as they vie for the record of most decorated current player adds an extra layer to the battle between the top pairs.
