The 2019 Tahiti Pro Teahupo'o was the kind of event that'll be talked about for decades to come. From a huge swell in the lead-up that was so big the trials were called off, to an insane final two days and heroic performances from scores of the world's best, there was no shortage of edge-of-your-seat drama at the End Of The Road.
Naturally our friends from Stab were deep in the trenches to bring us the best of the action and, while the incredible waves of Teahupo'o steal the show in this episode of No Contest, there's no shortage of the regular deep-dive looks into one of the Championship Tour's favourite stops.
If you've never been to Teahupo'o before yet have long marvelled at the wave, then this instalment of No Contest is must-see-TV, with the most detailed breakdown of the seafloor bathymetry and local geography yet. From navigating the deadly shallow small days, to dealing with the end-section closeout and incoming righthander, you've never seen Teahupo'o broken down so thoroughly and it's fascinating.
Back on land our local hosts explain how delicacies like poisson cru and coconut milk are prepared, and we catch up with a cross section of the Top 34 and big wave community to get their take on all things Teahupo'o. It's a big claim, but we're fairly confident that this is the best episode of No Contest yet, and we'd love you to hit the triangle on the player at the top of the pageand get stuck in. You can thank us later. Enjoy!
