While we can’t necessarily spend everyday in the mountains, Instagram is always a worthy option for escapism and inspiration. To support your year-long winter daydreams, we have compiled the best accounts in skiing to tide you over until the next time you get to click into your bindings.
Here are the 12 accounts that you should be following:

1. Newschoolers (@newschoolers)

Newschoolers is the Montreal-based “home of skiing” and online web community that drops the most popular video clips to their feed on a daily basis. If you’re wanting to keep tabs on the newest never-been-landed trick or video project that everyone can’t stop talking about, they can catch you up to speed.

2. Marie-pier Préfontaine( @mpprefontaine)

Calling the beautiful mountain town of Pemberton, BC her home, Marie-Pier Prefontaine is a former racer turned big mountain skier. Always staying busy in the mountains whether in the winter or summer, she always documents her adventures ski-touring, heli-skiing and snowmobiling in the backcountry.

3. Logan Pehota (@loganpehota)

Also Pemberton-based, Logan is known for defying limits of all kinds. It is a no-brainer to keep up with some of his zero-gravity past times including backflipping on skis over train tracks and getting upside down on his snowmobile.

4. Maude Raymond (@maadmaude)

Maude Raymond hails from Quebec and lives by her mantra “raised everywhere”. As an owner of a customized van, Maude can oftentimes be found on the road skiing and surfing across the US and Canada. Also a multi-faceted creative, she designs and develops her own clothing line and directs many different media projects.

5. Noah Bowman (@noahbowmanski)

Bringing his own brand of visually pleasing style to the halfpipe, follow Noah around the world as he travels and competes with the Canadian National Team. Known for his arsenal of switch tricks, you won’t want to miss his smooth top-to-bottom runs.

6. Tatum Monod (@tatummonod)

With some of the best backcountry zones in the world outside her front door, Tatum resides in Pemberton. She devotes her winters to pushing her own limits, and therefore the state of the sport in the process. Bringing us along for the ride, she can always be counted on to share something inspiring, whether it is a dreamy POV powder surf lap or a gripping drone capture from a steep face.

7. Sam Kuch (@samkuch_)

A rising star in the world of freeskiing, Sam Kuch blew collective minds when he landed a dub 10 into Jackson Hole’s Corbets Couloir. Known for landing the unthinkable, Sam is based out of Nelson and spends his winters stacking video clips in the backcountry.

8. Alex Armstrong (@tiger.kween)

Based on the West Coast, during the winter you can find skier Alex Armstrong getting after it in the backcountry. From lodge hopping around BC to discovering new zones with her snowmobile, you will want to follow her on the powder chase.

9. Mason Mashon (@mason_mashon)

As one of the top photographers in the snow sports world, Mason can usually be found outside. Whether it's spending nights under the stars or accessing remote areas by plane, keeping up with all of his adventures will mean that you're sure to be planning a few of your own in no time.

Growing up skiing in Fernie, BC, Andrea “Dre” Byrne has risen through the ranks as a big mountain skier to watch. A former freeride competitor, she now spends her time in front of the lens, filming and traveling with some of the most notable crews in the industry.

Arriving on the scene with their own brand of ski edits, The Blondes have become one of the most enjoyable backcountry crews to follow. Equal parts light hearted and hard charging - Tonje, Emily and Janelle keep things fun while simultaneously giving you the motivation to step up and stomp your next cliff drop.

12. Erik Guay @erikguay

If you are looking to keep pace with those who race at over 165 km an hour on the alpine side of things, Erik is who you need to follow. As one of most successful Canadian ski racers of all time, he has made his home province of Quebec proud with a large collection of World Championship Medals and crystal globes. You might not be able to catch him on the mountain, but you can still keep up online.
