While Quebec might get overshadowed by Western Canada when it comes to mountain biking, riders shouldn’t overlook La Belle Province—but not just for its beautiful views. With a dedicated network of riders, builders, and plenty of lift-serviced options, Quebec packs a punch.
With growing popularity comes more trail networks than ever, more features, and smoother trails. Quebec has slabs that will take a lifetime to conquer, huge drops, technical descents, and a growing portfolio of enduro-style trails that won’t disappoint.

With multiple zones throughout the province that boast different networks and characteristics it can be confusing to choose where to ride. So, we’ve broken it down by region, highlighting some of the best of the best.
01

Saint Raymond/La Vallee Bras Du Nord

Located just north of Quebec City, Saint Raymond might be a bit off the beaten path but it’s a go to when it comes to mountain bike trails with the infamous La Vallee Bras Du Nord Trail network.
One of the highlights? Neilson Est and Neilson Nord.
Connect the two trails and end with Neilson Sud and you’ll get a 20 km+ ride, a 1,000 meter descent, and a trail packed with technical features, incredible views, and a half-day behind bars that you won’t soon forget.
Looking for something a bit more challenging? Look no further than La Légende, a trail built in 2019 that certainly lives up to it’s name.
Built with the modern mountain biker in mind, the trail features steep, technical terrain, drops, jumps, and even a waterfall view. If you’re an experienced rider, this is one you don’t want to miss.
02

Sentiers Du Moulin

With over 60 km of singletrack and a unique mix of advanced, beginner, and straight-up one-of-a-kind trails, Sentiers du Moulin has positioned itself as one of the best places to ride a mountain bike in the province. The best part? It’s just 25 minutes from Quebec City.
If you’re looking for a perfect mix of steep slabs, unique rockwork, and fall-line loam, look no further than LB1 et LB2.
The local trail building crew put the work in on this one, and it shows. Be sure to tackle this descent if you’re into the technical stuff.
Looking for one of the most unique trails you’ll ever see? Welcome to Slab City.
One of the only trails in the world that is seemingly all-slab, Slab City damn-near broke the internet when the trail was finished, and it certainly lives up to it’s name with nearly 1.5 kilometres of slab riding that weaves through the forest on the descent. Don’t miss this one if you’re looking for a good time. And some epic photos, of course.
Head over to Sentiers du Moulin between August 10 – August 12, 2023, to race against the clock in Red Bull Downtime.
03

Empire 47

Another heavyweight in the Quebec City area, Empire 47 boasts a few epics. First up is Haute Valkyrie, one of the most challenging technical trails in the area, it’s hard to ride this one at not marvel at the work of the local trail builders.
On the other end of the spectrum is La Voisine. While it does boast some technical sections, the trail is mostly full of flow and fun. Link this one up with Pad Religion and you will definitely not be disappointed.
04

Outaouais

The Western Region of Quebec was named after the nearby Ottawa River, but the infamous Boneshaker that descends the slopes of Mont St. Marie is far from flow. The steep, technical descent lives up to its name with steep slabs and rough sections that will have you talking about the trail long after your ride.
If you’re looking for something a little more family friendly, check out Growler on Mont St Marie. A local favourite, you won’t be disappointed if you link up the two classics. Remember kids, variety is the spice of life.
05

Bromont

Revered for its rough DH tracks and variety of terrain to host enduro races, Bromont is known to have a little bit of everything. If you were to summarize the iconic town in one trail, Mordor would be the trail to do it with. A unique mix of rock, roots, technical sections, and a slab to finish it off, it’s one you’ll want to tick off.
If you’re looking to find a bit more flow, Hummus is your answer. Let’s just say this one is a bit more fun to let things loose on than the aforementioned Mordor.
06

Mont-Saint-Anne

If you haven’t heard of Mont-Saint-Anne, you’ve probably been living (or riding) under a rock. The world-famous track is home to a stop on the UCI World Cup Circuit, but it’s not all non-stop gnar. Take a cruise down La Vietnam, a fast, flowy descent that even the pro’s like to ride when they stop for a visit.
If you want to test your mettle, head over to La Coupe Du Monde DH to ride the same track that the best in the world often have a tough time wrangling—just don’t come crying to us when you have to walk a few sections.
