The US Grand Prix is back for its seventh year at the purpose-built Circuit of the Americas in the relaxed university town of Austin, Texas. There's plenty about F1's trips to Texas that sticks in the memory. In 1984 the circus came to Fair Park in Dallas where Larry 'JR Ewing' Hagman started the race, Keke Rosberg won it and Nigel Mansell tried to push his car across the finish line in searing heat before passing out on the track. When F1 returned in 2012, Lewis Hamilton took the honours from Sebastian Vettel, and the British three-time world champion is the man to beat at COTA, having won six times in total, including the last four in a row.
