Grand Theft Auto is without doubt one of the most chaotic, immoral and hilarious games you can play. Whether it’s carjacking people for no reason, committing crimes for mafia bosses or jumping over a row of cars Evel Knievel style just because you can, GTA Online offers something for everyone.
But how does Rockstar top it? By adding an injection of bling, courtesy of the Ill-Gotten Gains DLC, of course, part two of which dropped just last week. Featuring a selection of decadent clothes, cars and guns, Ill-Gotten Gains turns the foolishness up to eleven, and raises the bar for pure annoyance. Check out some of the most anti-social things you can do in the new add-on.
Cruise past pedestrian players with the top down
Ill-Gotten Gains Part One comes with four brand new cars in part one alone, and they’re a great way to display your dishonest wealth to the other inhabitants of GTA Online. Rockstar has has produced a ride for every occasion, and even added the Dinka Vindication motorbike in Ill-Gotten Gains part deux. First off, there’s the swooping lines of the Pegasus Osiris and the luxurious behemoth that is the Enus Windsor, but there’s also something for those into more classic cars. Ill-Gotten Gains also lets you cruise the mean streets of San Andreas in the American muscle of the Albany cruiser, or cut up other road users in the vintage Stirling GT.
Test your new guns on your rivals
Ill-Gotten Gains Part One only comes with one extra gun, but Part Two adds the single shot Marksman pistol. Dubbed the Combat PDW – short for Personal Defense Weapon – the former’s assault rifle is a superb all-rounder. Great for harassing your enemies in hectic, short-range firefights or for quietly erasing some of your most annoying rivals, the all-new firearm is also available in a swanky gold finish, because of course, and features a silencer for quiet kills. The second DLC’s pistol can be equally annoying. Despite its simple exterior, the Marksman pistol has as much stopping power as a shotgun; your rivals won’t know what hit them.
Bring down the tone with a modified Enus
Cruising around in one of the most expensive cars in the game isn’t always annoying enough, so Rockstar have gone one better in Ill-Gotten Gains Part One. When it comes to showing everyone just how much hard cash you’ve got, there’s a lot to be said for designer prints – so why not cover your most expensive car in them?
The first DLC part comes packed with some of the most amazingly vulgar, tasteless vinyl wraps for your Enus Windsor. Each one is as equally awful as the last, and the ultimate display of mindless wealth. Annoying everyone in the city in your wrapped Enus? Priceless.
Flying first-class in golden planes
Cars are good, but those who are serious about money have to take things higher – and into the sky. However, in GTA, private jets and helicopters aren’t as exclusive as they used to be – so Ill-Gotten Gains Part One. Travelling in a plane is ostentatious, but in a gold plane? Even better. Ill-Gotten Gains part two throws in a speedboat, but we still think the Luxor Deluxe is the only way to travel.
For a cool $10,000,000 the gold-played Luxor Deluxe lets you enter as a passenger, so you can get flown between hideouts and missions. What happens when you want to get out? Just parachute and watch your plane descend, blowing up your online rivals. Money well spent.
Pimp your weapons
If you haven’t got the Combat PDW, you can still freshen up your favourite weapon with a choice of brand new finishes. Thanks to to the new DLC, you can have your most trusted friend covered in anything from a Platinum Pearl Deluxe Finish to an Etched Wood one – so you can light up the streets in style. Being killed in GTA Online for no reason is annoying. But being killed for no reason by someone with a platinum gun? Even worse.
Show off with your own pointless in-game Apple Watch, just like IRL
Rockstar is renowned for its satire and social awareness, so it comes as little surprise that you can be an early adopter and rock your own Apple Watch. Stylish and noticeable, it’ll sure to make you the envy of all the other players. In keeping with Rockstar’s thinly veiled satire, the 'iFruit Watch' does absolutely nothing, and simply exists to show your wealth and importance.
Don’t worry about colour clashes either; much like the real Apple Watch, the iFruit Watch comes with a range of jaunty, vibrant straps – so it'll fit in with your most outrageous garments. Let’s hope someone notices it!
Get tatted up – and let everyone know it
Everyone’s doing it, from racing drivers to cage fighters. If you really want to display your power and wealth – and get a littler more fashionable – you’ll have to get fully tatted up. In Ill-Gotten Gains you can get inked with more designs than ever, so there should be a design for even the most particular about their body art.
Of course, you’ll have to show some skin to get your money’s worth - but you’re doing people a favour anyway!
Make everyone else’s wardrobes look like a joke

Any professional lawbreaker knows the only real crime is to be scruffy, and Ill-Gotten Gains makes it even easier to look smart. Rockstar has thrown in a whole new wardrobe, and even more apparel in Ill-Gotten Gains Part Two, so now you can upgrade your threads just like your cars and guns.
Whether you’re in the market for something subtle like a pair of shades, or want to go for the full Bane-esque Sheepskin coat, there’s something for everyone here; from small time crook to crime kingpin. Terrorise your enemies in a suit to show you mean business.
Add some bling
Ill-Gotten Gains gives you goldplated cars, helicopters and guns – but what about old-fashioned jewellery? Thankfully, Rockstar has added some much-needed gold to the equation, so now both men and women can rock as much jewellery as their fingers, wrists and neck can take. From diamonds to rings and chains, Ill-Gotten Gains makes it easier to go All Gold Everything.
Enjoy the glitches
No game could be complete without glitches, and Ill-Gotten Games comes with its own fair share. But our favourite? That has to be the mystifying comedy club. Getting there isn’t easy, but after walking through walls, parachuting into oblivion and keeping your fingers crossed, you’ll get to explore one of the weirdest, most random areas of the game, while leaving your assassins wondering where on earth you vanished to.
