Marco Dallago (AUT) had been forced to keep his champagne on ice after Cameron Naasz (USA) snatched the victory in Moscow two weeks ago. However, the runaway leader of the 2014 Ice Cross Downhill World Championship put in a confident performance here in Québec City to end any doubt and claim the title by a massive 1,410-point margin.
In the end, Naasz finished a disappointing 11th on the night and was edged out of second in the overall championship by a strong late show from Canada's own Scott Croxall.
