Giorgio Moroder is experiencing something of a creative renaissance. A recent collaboration with Daft Punk, an unexpected foray into disc-spinning and a refreshingly frank lecture at Red Bull Music Academy in New York have all served to remind us of the disco legend’s legacy.
So what better time to celebrate the music of Moroder? RBMA seized the day with a series of three events at the Vivid Sydney 2014 festival and you can see how it all came together in a very special behind-the-scenes documentary entitled, well, The Music of Moroder.
The film focuses on how masters of interpretation the Heritage Orchestra got to grips with some of the Italian record producer’s most influential tracks and talks to Moroder himself about the project, how the songs were created and his nascent career as a DJ.
You can watch the film in the player above. Click the link below and you’ll be able to see the Heritage Orchestra in action as they respectfully reimagine I Feel Love, Love To Love You Baby and From Here To Eternity.
