Two years in the making, the new Full Moon movie is almost here, featuring the raddest female riders on the planet and it was well worth the wait. Check out this crazy GoPro teaser!
When a snowboard project takes two years, you already know it’s got a good chance of being a quality shred flick. And when the all-female cast features some of the most influential riders of the past decade it’s pretty much guaranteed to be unmissable.
That’ll be the Full Moon movie then, starring Annie Boulanger, Robin Van Gyn, Hana Beaman, Jamie Anderson, Leanne Pelosi, Marie-France Roy, and Helen Schettini. This is a movie that comes with a stacked cast of (mostly Canadian) talent and tons of what Canadians do better than anyone in the world – on steep, deep and burly powder.
But there’s more to Full Moon than a feast of epic mountains and high-calibre riding, this is a movie that has real food for thought, too. The central theme to Full Moon is about influence. This crew of ladies have no doubt inspired thousands of girls to strap into a snowboard – but who inspired them?
Well, legends like Natasza Zurek, Victoria Jealouse, Shannon Dunn, Tara Dakides, Barrett Christy and Tina Basich are sure to feature – these inspirational females all blazed a trail for the women’s freeride and freestyle movement – and according the film’s producer Leanne Pelosi, they’ve uncovered plenty of archive footage that will prove females have been killing it since way, way back in the day.
Both as fully-fledged powder porn and as a history lesson, Full Moon promises to be an inspiring watch and it will be screened right here on Red Bull TV
