The Red Bull Local Hero started its BMX tour in Moscow in search of the best hidden talent in Russia on the 22nd July, following a six-week break after the skate tour.
Only open to unsponsored riders under 20 the first stage of the tour was hosted by Russia's top BMX rider and Red Bull athlete Anton Evstifeev, in the DC Banks skate park, in the historic Gorky Park, in Moscow.
Forty-nine riders took part in the competition and park rules applied with groups of four riders doing a six-minute jam session qualification, two short attempts and then a few seconds for a best trick. After this, it was narrowed down to 10 riders who competed again.
The top three 'Local Heroes' were Sergei Gladkov, Nikolai Gluhov and Konstantin Materinko, who won the amazing chance to make a profile video with Anton Evstifeev.
There are five stops on the tour and next up is Krasnoyarsk.
