Red Bull Up The Mast took Plymouth by storm, testing competitors balance, spirit, and sheer determination.

Thousands of local spectators were entertained throughout the afternoon by the event’s unique format and spectacular efforts, as competitors took it in turns to run up the greasy pole in an attempt to capture the flag.

5 challengers out of 176 qualified for the final after capturing the flag in the first round of the competition. Two competitors managed to successfully grab the flag in the final, which meant a decisive head-to-head knockout round was needed for Jak Plummer from Plymouth to ultimately claim victory.

After being crowned the Red Bull Up The Mast 2025 winner, Jak said “It’s pretty surreal to have won Red Bull Up The Mast. I thought I’d run up a bit of wood for fun but turns out I’ve come out on top!”
