Jorge Lorenzo loves a bit of Linkin Park to get him pumped for MotoGP, and it’d be easy to see why, but what other tunes do riders use to get in the zone for action?
We asked these stars for their song of choice when it comes to getting motivated. You might be surprised at some of the selections…

Jack Miller: Motorhead – Ace of Spades

Honda man Miller loves a bit of AC/DC, but his idol was Motorhead’s late front man.
“I like the rock and roll lifestyle too, so I look up to guys like Lemmy from Motorhead,” says Miller. “Real hardcore rock guys that just live it hard.”

Stefan Bradl: The Prodigy – Firestarter

The Prodigy’s lead singer Keith Flint is a bike nut and has been spotted at MotoGP on plenty of occasions. World Superbike rider Bradl goes for the jugular on his mp3 player in the moments leading up to the race start. “This one really gives me energy before a race,” revealed Bradl.

Marc Márquez: Eminem – Lose Yourself

Three-time MotoGP World Champion Márquez is a fan of all kinds of music, particularly pop-rock.
“If I had to choose a band, then Eminem or AC/DC. This is the kind of music that you can use to be concentrated and focused.”

Dani Pedrosa: Michael Bolton – When I’m Back on My Feet Again

Pedrosa’s song of choice holds particular memories for him that provide extra motivation.
“In 2003 I had a big crash after my world title in 125cc, and I broke both my ankles,” recalls Pedrosa. “The expectations around my switch to 250cc in 2004 weren’t there from most of the MotoGP experts after that, and I trained in a wheelchair for five months, listening to this song all the time. One month after my recovery I was winning my first-ever race in 250cc, and I won the championship, becoming the youngest rider to win title in two classes.”
