The last time we crossed paths with Stab's No Contest crew they were living large in Western Australia and enjoying one of the world's most laidback corners. What a difference a few weeks makes!
After jetting halfway around the globe, the team reassembled at the WSL Championship Tour's craziest event in Rio de Janeiro to indulge in all the people watching, beach football and BBQing they could handle. In the latest episode of our behind-the-scenes look at surfing's Championship Tour, Ashton Goggans takes us to Brazil's surfing mecca, Saquarema.
From a Barrinha super session with local standouts João and Lucas Chianca, flying a helicopter over one of the world's most beautiful cities and meeting the family behind the legendary Brazilian Fu Wax empire, the No Contest crew immersed themselves deeply in the Brazilian scene and this episode is all the richer for it.
We pick the brains of Jordy Smith, Sally Fitzgibbons and a bunch of their peers to find out what the top dogs make of the crazy Brazilian experience, the sport's most diehard fans and just how good the local barbecue scene is. To road test their thoughts we enjoy a churrasco feast with Championship Tour star Yago Dora and his legendary pops Leandro, who just so happens to be the coach of 2015 world champ Adriano de Souza.
We absolutely adore this latest instalment of No Contest and we hope you do too. Rio was a blast and we can't wait to go back next year. Special thanks to local photographers Felipe Azevedo and Peu Fernandes for their great shots!
