Last weekend was London's turn to host the thrills and spills of Red Bull Soapbox Race, and the UK's capital did not let us down. Alongside all the standard colour, creativity and white-knuckle rides down Alexandra Palace's 420m track, there were also a fair few spectacular crashes.
We've put the best of them together in the video player above. Watch, wince and wonder how they all seem to have got away with little more than a bruise here and there.
It was terrifying, yet one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done
– Christian O’Connell
Out of 65 racers taking part on the day, the judges eventually chose the Breakfast Club as the event's overall winners. The team were formed from the UK's Absolute Radio Breakfast Show and piloted by presenter Christian O’Connell, who later tweeted, "It was terrifying, yet one of the most amazing things I've ever done."
With 20,000 spectators in attendance, the People's Choice Award was also a massive plaudit, especially as it went to a team taking part for the first time. Turtle Heads, based in Coventry, UK, took the award with their soapbox racer based on Crush from Finding Nemo.
