Following last month’s tow swell, Praia do Norte opens the slopes for the world’s best paddlers.
It's not even boots-gloves-hood weather in Portugal and Nazaré's already turning up the heat on the world's best big-wave surfers. In October, we brought you opening day, which was as giant as it gets and pretty much an all-tow affair. Now, take a look above for some of the best paddle action ever seen at Europe's favourite big-wave venue.
Ace filmer Alex Laurel is keeping an eye on Naz swells for us this winter, so he was once again stationed in the bluffs, rolling tape on every sketchy drop and horrendous spill.
And already, we're starting to get a glimpse of who the bravest chargers will be this 2016/17 big-wave season at Praia do Norte. Count Will Skudin, Nic Von Rupp, Sebastian Steudtner, and Matt Bromley as the leaders of the pack.
