Who’s in the FIFA 17 top 50?

The best players in FIFA 17 have been revealed – are there any British players in the list?

EA Sports has revealed the players who have made it into the prestigious FIFA 17 top 50, and there are no English players in the list.
John Terry and Wayne Rooney were England's only representatives in the FIFA 16 top 50, but with both struggling to reach peak form last season, they failed to make it into this year's list. However, after another great year with Real Madrid and Wales, Gareth Bale is in the top ten.
But who is number one? Take a look at the list below to find out.
There are plenty of new entries in the top 50. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi is in at number 50, Real Madrid defender Marcelo is at 49, and Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with a crazy 96 pace stat, is at 48. Dimitri Payet – another new entry – is the Premier League's first representative at 47.
The highest new entry so far is Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann. The French forward, who starred at Euro 2016 is so good, we're surprised he wasn't in the FIFA 16 top 50. The same goes for Juve players Gonzalo Higuain (19) and Gianluigi Buffon (26). Other new entries include Spurs stopper Hugo Lloris (31), Italian centre back Leonardo Bonnuci (33), Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak (34), Barcelona's Ivan Rakitić (35) and Inter goalie Samir Handanovič (40).
However, some players have dropped a long way down the list. Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben was the fifth highest rated player in FIFA 16, but he's back at 46, while Manchester City's David Silva has dropped from 10 to 45. Although he's back on form now, Chelsea's Eden Hazard has paid the price for a poor 2015/16 season, dropping from six to 30. At least he's still in the top 50, unlike poor Cesc Fàbregas who was at 16 last year and misses out on a place in the top 50.
