Born in Mar del Plata, widely regarded as the cradle of the Argentinian skate scene, Aldana Bertran first took up skateboarding at the age of 12 and has never looked back. “Since the first moment I stood on a skateboard, it took hold of me. I realised it was so much fun, it was just my skateboard and me. I could spend hours and hours on it and not get bored. I wanted to learn more and more,” remembers Aldana.
Aldana soon became obsessed with skating and spent much of her youth at a local skate park. When she wasn’t practising, she was at home watching videos of Brazilian ace Leticia Bufoni and then attempting to master her moves.
