Turn 10 Studios’ Forza series has been an Xbox mainstay since Microsoft’s first console, and it’s continued to be the petrolhead game of choice for those with a Gamertag. Forza Horizon 2 is the latest in the series, and while it swaps the serious tracks for more exotic locales, there’s plenty to play with to keep the engines running full pelt. Join us as we take a look at the best tricks, drifts, spins and more to throw down across southern Europe in this week’s Stunt School.
Get drifty
Ever wanted to take part in a Gymkhana event of your own? Hit play on the video above and make like Ken Block to see just what sort of drifting skills you’ll need to unleash in Forza Horizon 2 to even keep up with the best.
Recreate THAT Fast & Furious scene
Granted, you could probably pull this off more easily in a game like Grand Theft Auto V, but then Rockstar’s game doesn’t exactly offer Forza’s dizzying array of JDM cars. Drifting down the runway like you’re Paul Walker is a lot more satisfying, even if there’s no exploding cargo plane belching out Vin Diesels behind you. Jump to 1:52 for the action.
Hit the accelerator off-road
What happens if you take the fastest car in the game, and take it off-road in an open world driving game? YouTube gamer AR12Gaming finds out in the video above, as he takes the Ultima GTR for a spin on all the bumpy hills that the virtual Mediterranean has to offer. Will he crash out or will he completely smoke the competition?
How far can you drift?
The winding roads in Forza Horizon 2 make for the perfect course to hit the handbrake and perfect your drifting skills, but how far can your drifts last? YouTube gamer DomesticMango ups the ante with a huge 500m drift, leaving plenty of smoke and tyre tracks in his wake. Can you beat that?
Drift and roll a Royal Mail postal van
Ever seen a postal van drift? That’s what we thought, but TheSLAPTrain1 has managed to tune up a Ford Transit van with enough power so that it’s more than capable of sliding around corners sideways – and he tries to flip it over too, defying gravity. Skip to nine minutes in for the full throttle action – will you be doing the same?
