Gaming
The latest PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) location promises high action and close contests due to its size. At just 2km x 2km, Karakin is easily the smallest map in PUBG. That means you’ll need to start off strong if you’re to last the distance and come out with the win when all is said and done.
Thankfully, you’ve come here: the best place to learn about all the best drop locations on this little desert island. You’ll still have to bring your A-game, of course; Karakin’s diminutive size means there are few places to hide if you’re spotted. Try these drop zones on for size, though, and you’ll be one step closer to that delicious chicken dinner you so desire
1. Cave Bunkers
While it may initially seem like a rogue suggestion, a lot of the areas on this map that aren’t identified by name can prove to be your salvation. There are little structures dotted about Karakin that can lead you to underground tunnels, which can give you the jump on your opposition, as well as the best loot. Just remember to have some C4 or sticky bombs on your person when you go there because you’ll need some explosives in order to go deeper underground.
2. Bahr Sahir
Found in the northwest section of the island, Bahr Sahir is a small town with plenty of buildings to loot and places for you to hide. Be careful not to leave yourself unprotected near the water though, as it’s fairly open and you’ll likely be spotted from a distance. There’s also a passage to some high-tier loot underground here, but be careful: it leads to a dead-end, so don’t come here if you’re retreating from an enemy that’s making a beeline for you.
3. Bashara
Below Bahr Sahir, you’ll find Bashara – a little town with a block of flats on higher ground that is full of great loot to get you started in a match. On top of that, there’s plenty of cover from danger in smaller buildings on the lower level of the dusty area. Of course, if you’ve got your wits about you, you can use the cramped architecture to your advantage, too. There’s a larger warehouse on the outskirts of town that’s worth a look; you’ll usually be able to grab a firearm if you poke around there.
4. Hadiqa Nemo
Over on the east side of Karakin, we’ve got Hadiqa Nemo. Because it’s a little smaller than some of the other towns on the island, it’s perfect for those who want to attempt a stealth kill during all the mayhem this map serves up. However, there’s a decent amount of open space between structures, so be careful. Also, like many of the spots across the four square kilometres of Karakin, there are some goodies hidden away behind destructible walls, so get yourself some sticky bombs when you can for some top loot.
5. Al Habar
While a lot of your time on Karakin will likely be spent underground, Al Habar gives you a chance to find a good vantage point atop one of the town’s hotels or blocks of flats. You’ll find some solid loot up there, too, so it's definitely recommended to head for higher ground when you can. Al Habar is more cramped than a lot of the other areas on this island, so those rooftop battles are ideal for adrenaline junkies that like their action hot.
6. Cargo Ship
Located on the southwest coast of the map, the Cargo Ship is certainly visually different from many of the other spots on Karakin. There are loads of cargo containers to use as cover, but be mindful that the deck can become crowded pretty quickly. There’s a small compound relatively close by that offers up some guns to bolster your arsenal if things go sideways, which is worth bearing in mind.
