Thaikkudam Bridge is a multiple piece multi-genre band based in Kerala. Their sound draws heavily from folk and classical music but is also inspired by progressive rock, pop and electronic music.
The massive 15-member band is known to be versatile and unpredictable in live shows. With six vocalists, six instrumentalists and three sound engineers hailing from different parts of India, the band represents a diverse musical and cultural scope influenced by the ideas of each band member.
Their first album Navarasam featured socio-political commentary, ideas of rebellion and freedom, and the common human spirit of oneness. With their second album, Namah, scheduled for a 2018 release, the band aimed to create a collaborative project featuring artists from around the world.
