Photographer Pat Stacy gives us a unique view of one of the greatest surfers to have ever lived.
The word unique may be overused, but it is simply the most accurate word to describe Andy Iron’s surfing. AI rode waves in a way that was unapologetically raw and unflinchingly confident. He will forever be remembered as one of the sport’s greatest. And this photo is a good illustration of why.
Pat Stacy had the pleasure of shooting many great sessions with Andy over the years. Here’s one of him standing tall in Tahiti – a bold wave that Andy’s even bolder surfing complimented perfectly.
