With winter over, we take a look back at some of the best and biggest waves of the season at Nazaré.
After the big-wave season of 2015/16 – thanks to El Niño – we were honestly expecting a bit of an oceanic hangover come this winter. Well, turns out the party just kept right on raging into 2017 at Europe's favourite mutant, Nazaré.
On pretty much every good swell, veteran Naz filmer Alex Laurel made the pilgrimage to the now-famous cliffs of Praia do Norte to bring us the very best angles of the very best waves.
The edit above is the result of those many, many hours Alex spent behind the lens – and it's one hell of a ride!
