Red Bull SoundClash is a musical clash between two artists. Each competitor is set on two opposing stages, across four heated rounds of musical showmanship.
Who wins? It’s simple, you decide! The artist with the biggest crowd reaction - as measured by our Red Bull SoundClash applausometer – will be crowned champion!
What are the rules?
This epic musical battle takes place over four intense rounds. In these distinct rounds artists are pushed to their creative limits as they compete for the crowd’s favour.
The Warm Up
To kick off the event and get the crowd ready for the spectacle that’s to come, both artists perform some of their biggest hits to make sure everyone is moving and in full voice. Guaranteed to entertain, this round is just the tip of the iceberg of what’s in store for the rest of the show!

Round 1: The Cover
Both artists cover the same song, adding their own personal flavour. Ever wondered what a rock version of Rihanna’s “Man Down” would sound like? How about a high-energy pop cover of The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go”? Well then Red Bull SoundClash has you covered!

Round 2: The Takeover
Each artist performs a version of one of their rival’s tracks in their own style. For ease let’s call them Artist A and Artist B. Artist A will begin playing one of their songs and then at the halfway point Artist B will “Takeover” the song, finishing it in their own style. The possibility of outstripping the original is tantalising. This is where Red Bull SoundClash really starts to heat up! 🔥

Round 3: The Clash
Both sides perform three of their own songs, but there’s a twist; each track must be played in a style far removed from the artists’ usual sound. Rock goes reggae, pop goes punk, or country goes classical. Pushing artists firmly out of their comfort zones, anything can happen when they approach some of their biggest hits in a completely new style.

Round 4: The Wildcard
The climax of the show where artists really pull out all the stops, each side flexes their connections by inviting surprise guests on stage to blow the audience away. This is the final chance to win the crowd’s favour and each side will stop at nothing to impress.
The Finale
Once the final note has been played, it’s up to the crowd to decide who will reign victorious. Only the act with the most musical versatility, showmanship and inventiveness will raise the roof and be crowned champions.
