This Sunday the Team will be back on track for the 2021 F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix mini championship. Taking place over the next three weekends each team will be hoping to claim a piece of the $100,000 prize fund for the charity of their choice.
And we will be racing for a cause close to the Team, Wings For Life, who have been our official charity partner since 2005. The spinal cord research foundation has a mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury and funds scientific research and clinical trials around the world aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.
WhatIsTheVirtualGP?
The Virtual GP mini championship will run for three rounds, with the first race taking place on , with the second and third rounds on the following Sundays.
The will be a home race for the Team in Austria at the Red Bull Ring, with at Silverstone, Great Britain and the at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, Brazil.

Format
The format for the mini championship is unique. Each round will feature a five-lap Sprint Race that will be contested by the F1 Esports Series pro drivers, which in turn will determine the grid order for the Feature Race.
The Feature Race will be 50 per cent race distance and will see F1 drivers past and present, as well as sports stars and celebrities competing for championship points to decide the standings.

Who’sRacing?
Representing the Team in the feature race will be Test and Reserve Driver Alex Albon and Red Bull KTM Factory rider and MXGP World Champion Jeffrey Herlings. If you’re not a motocross fan, you will be familiar with Jeffery’s work as he was the rider who starred in our Dutch Road Trip.
Alex needs no introduction and as a he will be driving his socks off for a cause close to his heart on Sunday night to try and win.

We will be announcing the drivers representing Red Bull Racing for rounds two and three ahead of each race, so make sure you keep checking back to see who’ll be racing!
