"Every race I do, my father follows me, this is until today he is a coach of motocross. My mother also joins us sometimes, she also looks after our home and our family. I have an older brother Rafael."

Diogo already has a favourite race: "Jerez Race 2 in the 2029 Talent Cup. I won this race and in the first race I was second. I did get the pole in the qualifying session. First race I was fighting in a group with another 2 riders and I finished second. In the second race I was in the leading group during all the race and I changed the strategy from first race, waiting there until the last lap when I overtook to get the victory."

At school he enjoys physical education and in his free time, "Riding any bike."
His racing hero is Marc Marquez and he is sure of his ultimate ambition: "To become World Champion."

To that end he has already gained a good deal of experience in 2020. "I did learn a lot on every way, specially racing, to understand the way to manage races, to approach to the race on Sunday during the racing weekend. I understood that racing is much more than Sunday."

He has another favourite race. "The last race of 2020 season, it was in Valencia. I did not qualify good and had to start from 19th position. The leading group had a gap of 6 seconds. Every lap I was closing the gap little by little. I was getting more and more excited because I was contacting the group."

"I caught them when 2 laps to go and I was able to manage to fight with them, finishing 11th. It was a question of keeping every lap fully concentrated and It was a big challenge for me. I was happy for how I was able to solve a bad position on the grid."

"I like clockwise circuits. I love right corners, the circuits with hard breaks and tied corners. The circuit I like the most is Jerez."
"I love the thrill of being riding a bike and doing what I love the most, the butterflies fluttering in the stomach just before a race. The passion for racing, this is the way I live."
For 2021 his goal is clear: "To win the Red Bull Rookies Cup."
