Sessions – The cream of the Keramas crop

Scotty Hammonds brings us an exclusive edit from Keramas in Bali. Featuring: Taj Burrow, Mikey Wright, Rio Waida, Sebastian Zietz, Jack Robinson, Kai Otton and Brent Dorrington.

Every year after the globe's best surfers are finished with the Australian leg of the world tour, the planet's more fun-loving surfers take their talents to Bali, where Komune Resort hosts the Mad Hueys' annual one-star event. Low on points, but through-the-roof on talent, the poolside extravaganza – held at high performance hotspot Keramas – proudly flies the flag for surfing larrikinism on land, while pushing performance levels in the water.
This year Adriano de Souza, Sebastian Zietz, Taj Burrow, Mikey Wright and Jack Robinson were but some of the star-studded field, and as you'd expect, the level of surfing was off the charts. History will show that Brent Dorrington beat Rio Waida in the final of the contest, but it's fair to say that those watching from the pool or checking out this edit by Ivan Tanjung are all winners now, too.
