“I tend to use the word iconic a lot, but I just try to shoot photographs that people will remember.”
– Steve Sherman
Photographer Steve Sherman is 48 years old and lives in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California. He’s had a foot in the surf, skate and music worlds for the past few decades and had a camera in his hand for most of it. Through that camera, the mission has been accomplished — Sherm has shot plenty of photos that people remember.
So here’s a gallery consisting of his favourites from over the years. They’re characterised by intimate access and that raw feeling that makes you feel connected to the subject. That and, well, the iconicity.
