Breeze map overview
If you like big, sprawling maps, Breeze will be top of your list. Two spike sites, connected by a hefty mid lane, with many wide open spaces for firefights and ambushes, make Breeze one of the trickier maps to master. Even professional VALORANT players will find it a volatile map at times, favouring the bold and those who can control ground, either in the early game or as the result of a shocking comeback. Shoutcasters might get a bit animated when commentating on a Breeze match, especially when players utilise the chute into the mid lane, which often causes an upset.

The largest VALORANT map, this Bermuda-based beach paradise remains a bit of an enigma. Featuring a large abandoned mansion with a mysterious hole in its side, a crashed shipping vessel named the KNG Meridian filled with crates, and a non-functioning portal, there's a lot we don't know about Breeze. Murals across the island tell a story of a radianite meteor shower, and a mining operation has been set up in an old fort overlooking the beach. The caves are also rich with the element, suggesting Kingdom Corp's interest in the area might answer some questions about its decay.

Breeze map best agents
Controller: Viper
Viper is a must-have for Breeze, with her abilities setting her up for a uniquely easy time on the sprawling map. Don't be afraid to rely on her in a match, she can defend B site pretty much single-handedly, and can divide up the wide open spaces using Poison Cloud and Toxic Screen.
Sentinel: KAY/O
War machine KAY/O is great over long distances and wide spaces. Use his throwing abilities to your advantage when you feel the enemy has the drop on you, clearing them out of the way, or surprising them from above. Set yourself up for a push with a pre-emptive Zero/Point or Flash/Drive deployment to clear the area beforehand. Null/CMD is also a fantastic finisher for Breeze when you've let the enemy get too close.
Duellist: Jett
Jett brings it all to the table in a map like Breeze. She's agile, fast and flexible, able to dash across open spaces and make short work of lingering snipers by smoking their line of sight. She's also a whizz with arguably the most powerful weapon on this map, the Operator. If you've got Jett holding one of these, you'll be a tough act to beat.
Initiator: Skye
Skye makes sense on this map for a number of reasons. On a wide map you can easily find yourself out of your depth and requiring a healing touch, but if you're squaring up snipers and trying to control the mid, her information gathering skills will give you the edge you need. Intel is everything if your playstyle doesn't lend itself to rushing in. She can also flash the opposition when required.

Breeze map tips and tricks
Tip 1: Buy the Operator ASAP
When it comes to weapon picks for this map, you'll want to prioritise securing an Operator, even if that means a few econ rounds. The wide open spaces and weird angles of Breeze mean that a well-aimed sniper is key. If you're not training your sights on someone, be aware they may be doing it to you.
Tip 2: Prioritise intel and vision
Breeze isn't the place to prove yourself in a skirmish, the open spaces will leave you vulnerable and provide the enemy with the upper hand. Don't go running in unless you're completely prepared for what awaits you. Intel collection should be at the top of your list, getting the lay of the land before well-placed snipers can take you out. Protect the vision of your snipers and do everything you can to provide them with a clean line of sight. Rushing in all-guns-blazing won't win Breeze, but watching and waiting, then picking off enemies with a clean snipe, could save the day.
Tip 3: Don't neglect Mid Nest
If you're defending, send an agent straight into Mid Nest. It gives great visibility across the two sites and sets you up to protect your allies. If you're attacking, and the enemy hasn't positioned themselves in Mid Nest, push Mid Doors or A Hall ASAP. Position a couple of agents in A Cave just to spice up the encounter. Similarly, if you're attacking B site, make sure you come at it through Mid Top and B Main, as defenders will often react to B Main pushes but are less prepared for Mid Top.
