Australian-born, London-based singer Emmi takes another step towards pop stardom with her brand-new single You Said You Loved Me.
The track is accompanied by a striking and brilliantly choreographed new video that you can watch for the first time in the player below.
This purveyor of bold, heartfelt electro-pop and speaker-shaking R&B is plotting her way to the top with assistance from songwriters such as David Dawood (Roll Deep, Tinchy Stryder) and Tonino Speciale (Ella Eyre), who both helped Emmi co-write You Said You Loved Me. This three-pronged attack has given the artist one of 2016's catchiest hooks.
Emmi doesn't exactly need the help, though. After training up in pop's engine room, bagging writing credits for songs by Massive Attack and Little Nicki, she's now branching out on her own as a fully-fledged singer-songwriter. Taylor Swift has already tweeted her admiration of Emmi and her song Sleep On It, and her collaboration with Sonny Alven, Our Youth, went global.
