Born in 1987, the passion Bryce Menzies has for racing off-road practically runs through his veins thanks to a childhood spent growing up around dirt bikes.
His first big break on four wheels came in 2007 after a year of dominating – and ultimately winning – the 2007 CORR Single Buggy Championship. He earned a CORR Rookie of the Year award and the following year made the switch from open-wheel racing to the prestigious trophy truck classes.
Here, he nailed his first-ever professional truck win before going on to race in the Menzies Motorsports Unlimited Pro 2WD race truck, closing 2010 in third overall in the CORR series. That same year Bryce was also racing in a Menzies/Geiser-built Trophy Truck, scoring a stellar record of top-10 finishes in that season's Mint 400, Vegas 2 Reno and Baja 500.
2011 saw Bryce ramp it up in the TORC Short Course series, again dominating the season in the Pro 2WD class and taking the title before the season had even come to a close.
In 2012 he successfully defended his title, as well as competing in his Trophy Truck, racing up front in the SCORE Baja 500 and 100. 2013 saw a return to short course and the defence of his Pro 2WD title in the TORC series, as well as a tenure alongside Travis Pastrana in the Global Rallycross season.
But Bryce wasn’t done yet. Not by a mile. In 2016 he made history by jumping his off-road truck 115.6m (379.4ft) over a New Mexico ghost town to set a new truck distance record.
He also continued to claim a string of victories in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in 2017 and then took first place in the Best in the Desert race from Vegas to Reno in 2019. The following year he claimed second position in the Mint 400 and third in the Baja 1000, while in 2021 he returned to winning ways with victory at the Baja 250 in Mexico.
More impressive results followed in 2022 and 2023, with Bryce securing back-to-back victories in trophy truck racing's biggest race, the SCORE Baja 1000, as well as further wins and podiums in the Baja 500, Baja 400 and Baja 250 races down in Mexico.
Showing no signs of slowing down, the American driver continues to go full throttle and will hope to pick up many more championship titles with each season that passes.
