The Ford World Rally Team downsized from the Focus RS WRC to the Fiesta RS WRC in 2011, with then-Ford factory driver Mikko Hirvonen telling the press that driving the car was like “driving an angry bee”.
When Ford left the WRC at the end of the 2012 season, Malcolm Wilson focused his energy on the M-Sport World Rally Team and kept running the Fiestas. For 2015, M-Sport is fielding the youngest driver line-up of the four major teams, with Elfyn Evans and Ott Tänak enjoying a combined age of just 53 (that’s young in rallying!)
