Advent calendars don’t come any better this. Forget about opening paper doors or getting a weird tasting chocolate every day - this is way better. We’ve asked some of the top riders in Sweden to list their all-time favourite edits so that you can forget about December darkness for a few minutes and get stoked on rad adrenaline-fuelled clips instead. Every Sunday until Christmas you get a new block of edits that you can watch from the comfort of your bed, whilst munching on gingerbread cookies and staying warm under your duvet.
We kick the series of with XCO rider Ida Jansson. The World Cup racer is actually not a big watcher of edits, but there are two that have caught her attention over the past few years. She explains why.
I’m actually really bad at watching edits and there are only a handful that I’ve found really good.
1. The Best is Yet to Come
“This edit with Mathieu van der Poel is powerful and unique. Van der Poel is such a powerful rider in all the disinclines - road, CX and MTB - and this edit shows just that, whilst also having an emotional twist showcasing his dad and granddad racing”. - Ida Jansson
- Rider: Mathieu van der Poel
- Producer: Canyon Bicycles
2. Ferda Girls (HUMBLE. Parody)
“I found this one so good and fun to watch. I like how they imitate what it's like when boys ride together versus girls' reactions and attitudes. I just find that it fits with how it is in real life.” - Ida Jansson
- Rider: Micayla Gatto (and more)
- Producer: IFHT Films
Next week we check out what edits get Slopestyle rider Emil Johansson ticking. Follow Red Bull Bike on Facebook to make sure you don’t miss it!
