Born in Ensenada, Mexico, Iván Ramirez Salas was given a KTM 50cc at the age of five by his father, Raul Iván Ramirez.
Thanks to the unconditional support of his parents, Iván developed great confidence in handling the bike and was soon competing… and winning.

Growing up, Iván earned countless motocross and supercross victories in both Mexico and the US, upgrading bikes and climbing the categories as his level increased rapidly. Buoyed by excellent results in his offroad career, Iván was called to team up with the best racers in the States, despite still being relatively young.
