Tomáš Slavík started racing 4X professionally in 2009 after performing well at Czech national level in the discipline and also in BMX racing as a junior.
A disrupted first season on the UCI World Cup circuit in 2009 gave way to Slavík's first big achievement, when in 2010 he became the 4X World Champion.
In 2011, Slavík finished third overall on the UCI World Cup circuit. The UCI removed 4X from its World Cup calendar for 2012, but Slavík and the other 4X riders have since been involved in the 4X Pro Tour.
Slavík won the Pro Tour in its very first season in 2012, topping the men's rankings after winning every round of competition. In 2013, he confirmed his dominance by winning almost every 4X race that season, leading him to once again take the overall title.
Away from racing, Slavík has a love of track building and is involved in building BMX and 4X tracks. He realised his life ambition of building a 4X track in the north of the Czech Republic, where he now lives. That track has been used on the 4X Pro Tour, an incredibly proud moment for him.
Slavík keeps pushing his limits, taking more 4X word titles, testing himself on the City Downhill World Tour and we keep watching him closely.
