Jordan. Not just an iconic sneaker/basketball name. It also happens to be a country, and a picturesque one at that. The small nation set the scene for the latest endeavor from Red Bull Racing’s F1 show car team, and if you think it looks a little familiar, you aren't wrong.
The Wadi Rum desert that David Coulthard raced across in his Red Bull Racing RB7 was used as Mars in Ridley Scott’s Academy Award-nominated sci-fi movie, "The Martian." The 13-time Grand Prix-winner let the V8 engine scream across the desert as he took in the incredible surroundings.
“To have had the chance to come and see the length and breadth of the country, it's been a wonderful experience and I will cherish the memories, seeing one of the wonders of the world,” said Coulthard after his visit to Jordan.
Getting the chance to drive a car in an area you wouldn't normally drive, it's all great stuff.
And from one Hollywood blockbuster to another, Coulthard and the crew also visited the historic city of Petra, featured in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
