Reel Life Talon Clemow
There is no grey area in Talon Clemow's world, he shoots nothing but big waves and hifi ripping.
Big waves, big moves and big names figure strongly into Australian filmmaker Talon Clemow's ever expanding and impressive body of work. You'll remember Clemow's work from the incredible "Thundercloud" documentary that recorded the famous and fateful "Code Red" day at Cloudbreak in 2012, but you've likely also seen plenty of his work without knowing it, as he's highly sought-after by many brands to wield his Red Dragon on shoots the world over.
These days Clemow is based in Tasmania, where he's working on a documentary about the local breed of surf lunatics. So, when Mick Fanning rolled into town last year to tackle the notorious Shipstern Bluff, naturally Clemow was right there to nail the shot.
If Julian Wilsonneeds some high-definition water shots Clemow is among the first on speed dial, and when Mark Mathews and Taj Burrow tried to shoot the world's greatest surf photo, it was Clemow who got the gig sitting front row on the back of the Jet Ski, outrunning the slab with lens aimed and focused with brave dedication.
Words alone aren't enough to describe what unfolds in these three minutes of high action. So, sit back, hit play and soak up some top-notch performances straight from surfing's business end.
