As freestyle motocross has trickled down to just a few contests a year, Ronnie Renner has spent much of the last few years charging the freeride scene. So in 2015 when X Games introduced “Real Moto,” their freeride video contest, Renner was a shoe-in to compete. Naturally, he put together a banger of an edit, which ultimately brought him his eighth X Games gold medal.
Back in the contest again for 2016, Renner’s latest work is a 90-second journey from the snow-covered backcountry, through the desert and into the dunes. Narrated by the man himself, the edit is a reflection of just how much passion Renner has for the sport and where it’s taken him.
