Ever wanted to know what drivers can really see from inside the cockpit of a Formula One car? This awesome new video from ex-Virgin driver Lucas Di Grassi shows a lap of French circuit Paul Ricard from eye-level.
Commentators and ex-drivers are always saying that the T-cam view doesn’t show what it’s really like and vision is limited in the cockpit, well they’re so right, you can barely see anything!
Unfortunately it wasn’t filmed with some cool new Terminator-style eye camera. Di Grassi did an onboard lap with a Go-Pro strapped onto his visor, so don’t be expecting this view during races any time soon.
Still, enjoy this stunning HD video.
