It’s two years and counting since Grand Theft Auto Vfirst arrived on our shelves and made a place in our hearts. No matter how many brilliant titles come our way, and occupy us for days, or perhaps weeks at a time, somehow, we always find ourselves coming back to GTA V for a quick heist, and some gleeful carnage on the streets of Los Santos. And if single-player DLCinevitably rolls around sometime next year, you can bet we’ll on the first flight back to the state of San Andreas again.
If you, like us, still can’t get enough of GTA V, we’ve got something a bit extra for you. We know you can’t be playing GTA whilst you’re at work, or on your way to and from home, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your fix. We’ve singled out six YouTubers we reckon any Grand Theft Auto junkie should subscribe to, whether it be for expert tips, new stunt ideas or just some good old fashioned laughs.
VanossGaming
All aboard the fun train! Vanoss’ channel isn’t GTA V exclusive, but he still releases plenty of GTA content alongside a healthy helping of Gary’s Mod and anything else new. Most of the videos involve Vanoss and a crew of H20 Delirious, Moo Snuckel, Mini Ladd and Lui Calibre generally bumbling about in Los Santos causing hilarious mayhem. If you wanted helpful tips, you’re probably in the wrong place, but Vanoss’ videos are full of laughs, and even better they’re well edited and almost always a decent length – at least 10 minutes long, if not more. Plus, check out the rest of the crew’s individual channels for even more of the same.
Achievement Hunter
Do you feel like you’ve done everything there is to do in GTA V? You almost certainly haven’t, and we’d point you in the direction of Rooster Teeth’s ‘LetsPlay’ channel as proof. Achievement Hunter'sLetsPlay channel gives you the same guys and gals as the main AH channel, but lets you dive straight into their long Let’s Play video sessions, giving you even more insight into what goes on when the hilarious crew make their epic videos. Not only that, it’s the best place we know for new multiplayer ideas and scenarios – the team are always coming up with ingenious new ways to have a good time in Los Santos. Just check the video above for an example!
XpertThief
XpertThief comes from the solo commentary school of YouTubing, but don’t let that put you off – he’s just as entertaining on his own as the last two channels in our list. Check out a few of his videos and you’ll see he’s actually pretty decent at the game too, and full of, ahem, expert tips to help you become one of Los Santos’ most notorious criminals, including loads of great content around the Ill-Gotten Gains and Heistsupdates. Or, you can jump straight into his excellent Thug Life series if you just want to see some general shenanigans in GTA Online.
Broughy1322
Broughy’s channel is the place to be for in-depth guides, hints and tips for those who really want to max out their gear and ability in GTA V. Broughy himself is a petrol head, with loads of real-life racing videos on his channel, and that translates over to GTA V where he is clearly YouTube’s authority when it comes to driving in Los Santos. He exhaustively goes through the pros and cons of every vehicle in the game, and has loads of great videos to improve your racing skills.
Dat Saintsfan
Another great channel for explanation videos, Saintsfan is probably the most active of all these channels in terms of GTA content, sometimes uploading up to five videos in a single day! He does a fantastic job of unpacking all the latest updates and patches so you know what to expect when you touch down on the streets of Los Santos, and does that alongside a hefty helping of brilliant modding tutorials and other GTA-related bits and bobs. If you’re a serious player, he’s definitely worth a subscription.
JoblessGarrett
Garrett doesn’t really do himself justice when he claims to be unemployed: he’s far too busy entertaining his 629,000 subscribers on YouTube, who tune in to see him fool around in GTA Online, hosting giant yacht parties in the harbour and playing human ten pin bowling with 18 wheelers in the sky thousands of feet above Los Santos. If you find yourself running out of things to do in San Andreas, be sure to look to him for inspiration.
