Rolling With the Punches: The Berry Brothers' Remarkable JourneyAfter a tragic family car accident leaves brothers Peter and Aaron Berry with identical spinal cord injuries, and the loss of their parents, they defy the odds by channeling their unbreakable spirit into wheelchair basketball, embracing their new life and honoring their parents' legacy.Donate
Throughout my filmmaking journey, as a female director I have always been met with limitations and obstacles. Getting to know the Berry brothers and their humble, yet unbreakable spirits has truly empowered me within my own craft- and to continue believing in myself. This film reflects the authenticity, ambition, and grace that I hope to carry with me on future projects. I am endlessly grateful for Ghetto Film School, Red Bull, and Wings For Life for putting their faith in me.

Working with Red Bull has been an absolutely enriching experience. The love for story and a care for humanity is at the forefront of Red Bull's work. Being a part of the machine was not only educational but inspiring in my own life. Meeting Aaron Baker and learning about his story helped me find my own strength. I can't wait to share the work my team and I have produced!

Wings For Life: Dianne VitkusDespite her spinal cord injury, Wings for Life has shown Dianne that she can live an adventurous life. Now it's time for her to return the favor.Donate
Collaborating with Red Bull, Ghetto Film School, and Wings for Life has been such a rewarding experience. This team really appreciated my ideas and supported my creative decisions, which was a wonderful feeling. The cherry on top of this process was getting to know Dianne. I hope the audience learns that we're all capable of living a fulfilling and adventurous life, but sometimes, it takes someone as inspiring as Dianne to remind us of what we're capable of.

There’s something really special about looking back into the past to inform the present. Archives drive storytelling, and I’m so grateful that I was able to share a piece of Chris Waker’s life through his personal archive. Directing this project has become a cornerstone of my own creative archive, and I’m so excited to use this experience as I continue growing as a filmmaker. A big thank you to Chris, Red Bull, and GFS!

Ghetto Film School Ghetto Film School (GFS) is an award-winning nonprofit founded in 2000 to educate, develop and celebrate the next generation of great storytellers. With locations in New York City, Los Angeles and London, GFS equips students for top universities and careers in the creative industries through two tracks: an introductory education program for high school students and early career support for alumni and young professionals. We teach young filmmakers to develop their voices and give them a platform to tell their stories to the world. We create meaningful professional experiences and job placements for our students, alumni and the Roster community. We partner with leaders in arts, education and business to push the culture forward on issues of inclusion and creativity.
